Trees from another age

From the olive trees planted by the first settlers to the indigenous wild olive trees (“bords” in the local dialect), Empeltre has emerged as the best adapted variety, perfectly suited to the climatic conditions and the environment, with marvelous trunks that have a great woody bole and a vigorous leafing canopy. Large olive trees form a mixed landscape with other crops and pine forest. The oil yielded by this exclusive indigenous variety is recognized for its high quality.
